When was Nissa la bella first sung?
Written in 1903 by Menica Rondelly, it was taken up by OGC Nice supporters from the early 2000s, first at the Stade du Ray and then at the Allianz Riviera from 2013.
What's the story behind Nissa la bella?
The song was adopted into the club's official pre-match protocol from 2003 following a supporter campaign known as "Opération Menica". It is written in Niçard, the local Occitan dialect, and was officially recognised as the city of Nice's anthem in 2007.
