Behind the chant
When was One Johnny Howson first sung?
Built up across Howson's first Leeds spell (debut 2006 to Norwich sale January 2012). 225 appearances, 28 goals, club captain from summer 2011. The promotion-clinching equaliser against Bristol Rovers on 8 May 2010 is the moment most associated with him at Elland Road. Returned to the academy in August 2025 as a player-coach for the under-21s.
