Kaoru Mitoma joined Brighton from Japan's J1 League in 2021 and quickly became one of the most exciting wingers in the Premier League. The Seagulls faithful dubbed him 'our Samurai' and this is the chant that rings around the Amex every time he picks up the ball. One of the best Brighton songs about a player in recent memory, and the lyrics barely need words.

What's the story behind Mitoma Our Samurai?
Mitoma arrived at Brighton from Kawasaki Frontale in August 2021. By early 2025 he had surpassed Shinji Okazaki's record to become the Japanese player with the most Premier League goals in history.
