Lyrics

Again, people to meet, The field bleachers, You can use the ääntäs, Now we have a match, Hello HOO-JII-KOO, The condition of HOO-JII-KOO, Those cries, We are encouraged, When viewers Cheers to encourage, We are excited about the fight, Not a baby else gets for free, Others of us at any time, Again, people to meet, The field bleachers, You can use the ääntäs, Now we have a match, Hello HOO-JII-KOO, The condition of HOO-JII-KOO, Those cries, We are encouraged, Get vastuskin, Be the iron, Does not harm it at any time, A gang is a match, fighting, Sun cheerleading side, Again, people to meet, The field bleachers, You can use the ääntäs, Now we have a match, Hello HOO-JII-KOO, The condition of HOO-JII-KOO, Those cries, We are encouraged, Again, people to meet, The field bleachers, You can use the ääntäs, Now we have a match, Hello HOO-JII-KOO, The condition of HOO-JII-KOO, Those cries, We are encouraged...

  • Kaisaniemen Pallokenttä 1907 Chant

    HJK (5 Songs)

This chant is about following and singing for Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (HJK), also called Klubi, from when their first ground was founded, to the current day.The first line is about the founding of the club in 1907 at Kaisaniemi park (which has a football pitch), where the club originally played. The second part is about the club existing for over a hundred years, and so will outlive the chanters. The latter part is difficult to translate directly to English, and literally means ([(you) stay] [after (me)] [live]).The third part is about singing when HJK ("Klubi") are playing away, from paskakoski ("shit-rapids", which refers to reeking factory towns, particularly when they play away to FC Haka in Valkeakoski and MyPa in Myllykoski - note that both of these towns end in "koski") to Europe (refers to playing away from Finland, such as in European competitions). The last part is about returning to the stadium to sing in the club stand ("Klubipääty"), the main supporter stand.
