Kevin Keegan took over as Newcastle United manager in February 1992 when the club was near the bottom of the Second Division. In his first full season, he guided them to the First Division title, winning promotion to the newly formed Premier League. He later built the Entertainers side that came within a whisker of the 1995-96 league title.
