Haway the Lads
Sunderland's war cry - pure Wearside dialect, straight from the terrace.
"Haway" is pure Wearside - the Black Cats' equivalent of come on, shouted louder every time Sunderland push forward. This is the chant built into the club's motto and the Mackem identity. Hear it at stadiums across Light match, every away end across England. Sunderland football chants don't get more Wearside than this.
