Jack Walker was the local Blackburn businessman who invested his fortune in the club and bankrolled the side that won the Premier League title in 1995, their first top-division championship in 81 years. Walker funded the rebuild of Ewood Park as well as the playing squad, turning Blackburn Rovers from Second Division strugglers into Premier League champions within 5 years of taking over the club. A statue of him stands at the Blackburn End to this day.
