'We Know We Are' is the Leeds away-end reply born at Derby in 2006/07, the relegation season. Derby fans sang that Leeds were poor, and the Whites agreed, out loud. Gallows humour at its most direct, and it stuck for the bad days. One of the Leeds chants you sing through gritted teeth. Words below.

Leeds were relegated from the Championship in 2006/07 after losing 1-0 at Derby on 1 May 2007. The chant arrived around that low point and stuck as a coping device for the worse seasons that followed.
